Our Mission

At the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, minorities make up less than 19% of the newsrooms. Media helps to shape our worldview and has the potential to create social change. So, how can our country pride itself on diversity if there's only one, homogenous voice?

At a time where our words are more important than ever, Published Points of View was founded to teach critical thinking, and make advocacy accessible to the youth through writing.

Our Progress

90%

of students get their works published in a publication.

76%

of students now want to pursue writing as an extracurricular activity or career.

790+

hours of total volunteer work.

100%

of students attend workshops free of cost.

"The workshop was such a great opportunity for middle school students. It gives them the opportunity to be able to learn skills that will be essential…Furthermore, it also gives them the opportunity to be able to add onto their academic resume and help them stand out when the apply for colleges, internships, and jobs in their futures."

- Jesus Rodriguez, KYCC Middle School Program Instructor

"I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and Cammie for providing such an opportunity to students like me who are trying to improve their writing skills! I’m excited to see what else I can learn and practice from this wonderful program. Today was a great experience, and I am very grateful to be given the chance"

- Madeleine Garcia, Student
